Mail policy and acceptable use
This policy covers all mail sent or received by this host. It applies to the operator and to every domain the host sends for, all of which belong to the operator.
What this host sends
- One-to-one transactional messages a person has asked for, such as a confirmation, a reply to their own request, or a sign-in link.
- Replies to messages people have sent us.
What this host never sends
- Bulk, marketing or newsletter mail.
- Mail to purchased, rented, scraped or harvested address lists.
- Mail for any third party, or as a relay for anyone else. The host is not an open relay.
- Phishing, malware, deceptive subject lines, forged headers or misleading sender identities.
- Anything that breaks the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, the network provider's acceptable-use policy, or the law where the recipient lives.
Sending practices
- Every message is authenticated with SPF and DKIM and aligned for DMARC.
- Volume is deliberately low and rate-limited per receiving provider. New domains and new IP addresses are warmed up gradually.
- Hard bounces and complaints suppress the address automatically. A complaint stops mail to that address.
- Any message that is not strictly transactional carries a working way to opt out, honoured promptly.
What this host accepts
- Mail for the operator's own domains only. Mail for any other domain is refused.
- Messages up to 10 MB.
Enforcement
A breach of this policy is handled by stopping the mail concerned immediately and fixing its cause. Report suspected misuse to abuse@cbmoon.com.
